Remove Judge Cale Bradford Message: Please Sign & ForwardRemove Judge Cale Bradford for blatant disregard of civil rights http://www.thePetitionSite.com/takeaction/936259170Thomas E. Jones and Tammy Bristol of Indianapolis have been ordered by Judge Cale Bradford of Marion Superior Court to "shelter" their child from their religion. The First Amendment and court rulings are clear that parents have a fundamental right to raise their children in any religion they choose.Thomas E. Jones and Tammy Bristol both practice the Wiccan religion - a pagan, Earth-centered faith. There were an estimated 1 million pagans worldwide in 2002. In the United States pagan believers have larger numbers than those who practice Sikhism, Taoism and several other religions that are recognized as "established".Judge Cale Bradford has failed to demonstrate how the beliefs of Mr. Jones and Ms. Bristol are harmful to the child, other than saying they may cause confusion. This order has been inserted into a divorce decree in which the parents have no disagreements in regards to the religious training of their child. Both parents desire that the child be raised according to their shared beliefs. Judge Bradford has blatantly violated these peoples' First Amendment rights.Judge Cale Bradford has committed an extremely serious act of discrimination against these people and their religion. Judge Cale Bradford has proven himself to be a danger to the well being of the citizens of the state of Indiana and he must be removed from the Judiciary of the state of Indiana. Please Sign This Petition http://www.thePetitionSite.com/takeaction/936259170Remove Judge Cale Bradford for blatant disregard of civil rightsFor more info see this news story:http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=3517358&nav=9TahbQHT Please Sign & Forward this PetitionThanks!Love & LightMari

Principles of Wiccan Beliefs

PRINCIPLES OF WICCAN BELIEFS Adopted By The Council Of American Witches April 12,1974 The Council of American Witches finds in necessary to define modern Witchcraft in terms of the American experience and needs. We are not bound by traditions from other times and other cultures, and we owe no allegiance to any person or power greater than the Divinity manifest through our own being. As American Witches we welcome and respect all life-affirming teachings and traditions, and seek to learn from all and to share our learning within our Council. It is in this spirit of welcome and cooperation that we adopt these few principles of Wiccan belief. In seeking to be inclusive, we do not wish to open ourselves to the destruction of our group by those on self-seeking power-trips, or to philosophies and practices contradictory to ours, we do not want to deny participation with us to any who are sincerely interested in our knowledge and beliefs. We therefore ask only that those who seek to identify with us accept these few basic principles:
1. We practice Rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal Quarters and Cross Quarters.
2. We recognize that out intelligence gives us a unique responsibility toward our environment. We seek to live in harmony with Nature, in ecological balance offering fulfillment to life and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.
3. We acknowledge a depth of power far greater than that apparent to the average person. Because it is far greater than ordinary, it is sometimes called "supernatural"; but we see it as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.
4. We conceive of the Creative Power in the Universe as manifesting through polarity-as masculine and feminine-and that this same Creative Power lies in all people, and functions through the interaction of the masculine and feminine. We value neither above the other, knowing each to be supportive of the other. We value sex as pleasure, as the symbol and embodiment of life, and as one of the sources of energies used in magical practice and religious worship.
5. We recognize both outer worlds and inner, or psychological, worlds- sometimes known as the Spiritual World, the Collective Unconscious, Inner Planes, etc., and we see in the interaction of these two dimensions the basis for paranormal phenomena and magical exercises. We neglect neither dimension for the other, seeing both as necessary for our fulfillment.
6. We do not recognize any authoritarian hierarchy, but do honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge their greater wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given of themselves in leadership.
7. We see religion, magick, and wisdom in living as being united in the way one views the world and lives within it-a world view and philosophy of life, which we identify as Witchcraft, the Wiccan Way.
8. Calling oneself "witch" does not make a Witch-but neither does heredity itself, nor the collecting of titles, degrees, and initiations. A Witch seeks to control the forces within him/her-self that make life possible in order to live wisely and well without harm to others and in harmony with Nature.
9. We believe in the affirmation and fulfillment of life, in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness giving meaning to the Universe we know, and our personal role within it.
10. Our only animosity toward Christianity, or toward any other religion or philosophy of life, is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be "the only way" and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief.
11. As American Witches, we are not threatened by debates on the history of the Craft, the origins of various terms, the legitimacy of various aspects of different traditions. We are concerned with our present and our future.
12. We do not accept the concept of absolute evil, not do we worship any entity known as "Satan" or "the devil" as defined by the Christian tradition. We do not seek power through the suffering of others, nor accept that personal benefit can be derived only be denial of another.
13. We believe that we should seek within Nature that which is contributory to our health and well-being.

The Old Man in the Rocking Chair

My parents got divorced in the summer of 1986. The following summer, my dad was staying with my cousins at their home. I went to visit him there.
One night about 8pm while my cousin and I were in a room upstairs playing, an old man suddenly appeared in the rocking chair in the corner of the room. My cousin immediately ran downstairs, but I stayed in the room, unafraid because I have had previously experiences with ghost. I walked right up next to the chair where the old man was sitting and asked," where did you come from"? He smiled in responce. Hearing a noice, I turned around expecting to find my cousin. No one was there. When I turned back around to face the old man, he was gone. He just vanished, though he looked solid, like a normal person in every detail. A couple weeks later, I was looking through a photo album and was shocked to find the very same man sitting in the rocking chair. I asked my mom who it was in the picture. She told me It was my Grandfather, who had died before I was born.

Mothers Return

My mother, died on December 1, 1990.
Two or three years ago, I woke about 1:30am and was astounded to hear my mothers voice. I could hear her talking quite plainly. I listened as she came out of the bathroom, walked across the landing at the top of the stairs, opened the bedroom door, and closed it behind her. I could hear her speaking until 1:45am. It was so eerie. I could not understand waht I was hearing. I have had some other experiences. Twice I have seen a mysterious mist in my mother's bedroom. I thought the bedroom was on fire. I walked into the wall of mist and breathed some in while trying to blow or wave it away.
Every morning about 1:00am. I used to switch on my tape recorder to tape sounds in the bedroom. You would not believe the sounds I captured on the tape: movement in the bedroom, and alot of static as something unseen moved passed the recorder.
I have not seen or heard anything since.
My mother must be at rest..

The Handwritting on the Wall

A weary Mother returned from the store, lugging groceries through the kitchen doors. Awaiting her arrival was her 8 year old son, anxious to relate what his younger brother had done.
While I was out playing and Dad was on call, TJ took his crayons and wrote on the wall. It's on the new paper you just hung in the den. I told him you'd be mad at having to do it again.
She let out a moan and furrowed her brow, Where is your little brother right now? She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride, she marched to his closet where he had gone to hide.
She called his full name as she entered his room. He trembled with fear---he knew that meant doom for the next 10 minutes, she ranted and raved, about the expensive wallpaper and how she had saved.
Lamenting all the work it would take to repair, she condemned his actions and total lack of care. The more she scolded, the madder she got, then stomped from his room, totally distraught.
She headed for the den to confirm her fears. When she saw the wall, her eyes flooded with tears. The message she read pierced her soul with a dart. It Said " I love Mommy" surrounded by a heart. Well the wallpaper remained, just as she found it, with an empty picture frame hung around it. A reminder to her, and indeed to all, take time to read the handwritting on the wall.

Spotlight on Pagan Band

Tired of the old standard issue Pagan music? Maybe a little CURSE will cure you. Mikaela Pearson(vocals), Kevin Michaels(guitar), Theodora Micheals(bass), and Robert Lacyk(drums and percussions) have been entertaining audiences and winning critical acclaim since Spring of 2000. This New York quartet is fierce not fluffy, with hard driving bluesy songs that mix roadhouse with Rivendell and a stage presence that combine George Thorogood with J.R.R. Tolkien.
Curse formed out of the ashes of Caledonia, a goth-rock group which included Mikaela and Robert, and ultraviolet, an all-girl punk band featuringThea on guitar and lead vocals. After Caledonia's demise, Mikaela swore off bands, concentrating instead on solo performances with autoharp. A year later Thea and Kevin approached Mikaela about forming a new band. Casting trepidation to the winds, they booked some studio time, went in and jammed and Curse was born. Everything you listen to comes out in your music whether you like it or not says Kevin, Music is universal...Mikaela points out It's the language of the Gods. Mikaela is a High Priestess in North Star Craft, which traces it's lineage through the Gardnerian and Minoan Sisterhood traditions. Thea is a vegetarian for about 18 years, trying to tread lightly on the planet.
At present Curse is working on songs for their second album, while continuing to play shows in and around New York. They are also looking for a label and representation. Just because we've been able to do so much on our own doesn't mean were not looking for talented help, says Mikaela. For futher developments keep an eye on their website at www.curseonline.com And if you find yourself in New York be sure to catch their live show.

Book Review

Who speaks for the Witch.

It's about a story--a truly horrible and a terrible story. It contains all elements of the perfect horror story. Lust for power, greed, and politics are well represented in it. Torture, murder and betrayal. The people they describe make Adolph Hitler and Saddam Hussein look like boy scouts leaders..
For this story is not fiction. it is about real people, who were tortured and publicly murdered to make a holiday for the masses. The tortures that have been discovered are still fit material for nightmares. It ranges from sleep deprivation( waking the witch), to red hot nails under the fingernails, and squeeze devices. Or even a cauldron of rats fastened upside down in contact with stomach. When heated they ate their way though the victim. After being tortured in secret for months and years, the victims were then publicly tortured and finally executed in the most vile and terrible way possible; by being burned. Prisoners were brought out in plain view for everyone to see. Then hot pincers were used to tear off sensitive living flesh that the judges could define. Legs, arms were broken or shattered on the wheel. Some were impaled by driving a sharp rod into the anus; some had their intestines burned in front of them and then the victims were burned. They should not die in public torture but instead would scream their last as the flames engulfed them, provided they did not have their tongues torn out.
Or a red hot iron driven down their throat so that screaming was impossible.
As the story continues they trace it's roots and name some of the villians, the demoniacally inspired church and leaders of times. They will mention some of those victims who were burned for a medieval holiday.
They also will speak of today, the madness and the lies continue for some of the same reasons that caused the Burning times of the 16th and 17th centuries, when the craze reached it's peak.
Today lust for power leads fear-mongering Christian cult leaders to utter medievil threats so that little children will have nightmares and there will be a better head count in the congrgation and a bigger take in collection plate. Hilter and his cronies were rightly named the villians of the piece, and the jews who were tortured and murdered were acknowledged to be victims. In the Frost's story the victims were labeled denizens of the Evil Empire, percieved as fit candidates for further mental torture and loss of property and the terrorist call thme selves the good guys.
You must understand that these ghastly villians protested and still protest today that they were and are doing righteous battle against the enemies of God. They saved Witches from the grip of evil by torturing and killing them. Those victims were ordinary people like you and me. In this story it is we the people who are the real good guys, and we have finally had our fill. We have sufficient power now to say 'Enough! The terrorist shall be named terrorist, and their crimes shall be noised abroad" We speak for the Witches, the people, the erstwhile victims, the genuine good guys. Over 80 percent of those who were judically murdered were women.
Unlike many writers, the Frost's know and acknowledge their bias; Though before they begin they do make one apology and one only, and that is, If they are cynical about the actions of the leaders of "those proudly phallic moral orders, either circumcised or uncircumcised" they deserve it; for we speak for the Witches, those who were burned and those still being shot at by their neighbors, thier employers, and their goverment.

School and Church of Wicca

The Church of Wicca was founded in 1968 and became federally recognized as a church of
witchcraft in 1972. This was the first federal recognition of legitmacy of the craft in the United States. In it's time the Church has handled over half a million queries and enrolled nearly fifty thousand students. Many of it's students now play leading roles in the worldwide craft community. Question, Can a new magical non-hierarchical religion survive the enmity of corrupt and the bigoted politicians, businessmen and churchmen?
The answer is yes-- for the craft is not only surviving, but it is growing.

I have been studing under the Frost's for around 20 years. I have taken and learned many of their courses they offer. From learning the craft of the Wise to Astral Travel. They offer a great selection of courses. And they are as close as the mail box.

I know many of you think that this is a religion can't be learn on paper, but how wrong they are. This is not a made up religion that you make up in your head as you go. It is written. As a Bible, prayer book, almanac. A guide for you to follow. Yes in the years past it was a way of life . For those who stayed on this path it was possible to teach your young. But can you honestly say one of those were you? I bet not. All in honesty I was brought up as Pagan/Blackfoot, but later to realize the books and lessons were confirming everything I was taught and more. It is a big help when one of your parents or even both were into paganism and you have had the chance to learn from them, perhaps they were taught by their parents. Gavin and Yvonne have over 70 years combined experience teaching and studing Witchcraft. The bring this combined knowledge to you in over 20 books and pamplets as well as offering 13 courses. They have eouched the lives of millions of people. Now it is your chance to put that experience to work for you.
An it Harm None, Do as you will.

Interesting Thought

I never told my religion, nor scrutinized that of another,
I never attempted to make a convert, nor wished to change anothers creed.
I have judged of others' religion by their lives,
for it is from our lives, and not from our words,
that our religion must be read.
Thomas Jefferson
